Three dodgy transactions tried to go onto my card today, two popped up with an authorization request (which I denied) and the third went through without a authorization request. It was for PUBG mobile, and there's something you should now about me.

I don't play PUBG.

I blocked all the affected cards (2) and requested replacement cards on both. I also contacted the card issuer to reverse the transaction. Took a phone call and a few back-and-forths on ticket support messages, but the transaction was indeed reversed on both cards. Was only a few hours in between the transaction and clearing.

I'm trying to think where did could have been gotten. I have the card on a few places, including online and in some apps such as McDonalds.

I rarely use the card physically, primarily using it online and through my FitBit. Even in shops, I will prefer to use the self-checkout so I don't have to physically hand the card over to someone and potentially have them skim the card over a reader.

Although thinking about this now, my local Costa Coffee started using a new card payment system. Dojo I think it was? And I didn't have any issues with fraud transactions until I recently started getting coffees from there since they upgraded.

I've reordered my cards for now and if I card fraud transactions on my card again after buying from the local Costa shop, I'll know the culprit.
